Claresa is a flower fairy . The difference between she and other flower fairies is that she comes from an ancient line of Birthday Fairies.
Now, Birthday Fairies are extremely rare. There exist only 12 in the world! When one Birthday Fairy is at the end of her "reign", she hands down the Magic Birthday Fairy Dust to the next in line. The weight of responsibilty placed upon a Birthday Fairy is quite great and can only be carried by the pure of heart. It also must be a fairy who takes a child's birthday as seriously as the children do! Only a few fairies are up to the task.
