When I was a little girl in England, my mother told my sister and I
many stories of fairies and their world.  I never forgot those stories and
when I began having children of my own, I began to tell the same stories.

One morning the children came running in from the garden with a
note they had found hanging from a rose bush branch.

This is what the note said..........

Of course, I thought it was a joke!  The children were always telling
me how they had spotted a fairy in the garden or how they the food they had
left out for them the night before was always missing in the morning...things
     like that.

Now don't misunderstand, I loved fairies or the idea of them, but I
didn't think they were actually real!  I tried to come up with an explanation.
After all, the letter looked real! The envelope was very tiny, the paper seemed
very old and the ink looked like gold!

At the insistence of my children, I returned correspondence with Claresa.
The children took the note and hung it back on the rose bush in exactly the
same place and we waited.  Or should I say they waited, I think I started the
dishes and forgot all about it until..

The next morning, the children came running in breathless.  They dragged
me to the rose bush in the garden and there was another note and a Fairy
    Treasure Stone!

The rest is history,  Claresa still lives at the bottom of my garden.  I have
never personally seen her, being a grown up and all, but the children have.
They helped her get settled into her beautiful fairy house they built for her
under the lilac tree at the bottom of our garden (the rose really couldn't hold
all of her Birthday Fairy gear comfortably).

I continue to help Claresa when she needs it, things like this website,
packaging and  putting bells on all the cats in the neighborhood (we both sleep
    better at night)!

Claresa has the  highest standards because she believes they are an
extension of her and a representation the fairy world.  Remember, it
takes only a fairy of superior commitment to become a Birthday Fairy.

Children play with the fairy gifts and the magic lasts in their
    imaginations long after!

Thank you for reading....I've tried to explain the depth of my love and
commitment to Claresa the Fairy, I hope I came close!

    Best Wishes,

    Clare Grindy
    Claresa the Fairy

               P.S.
Oh, one more thing, do you remember the promise that Claresa made to
me in her first letter for help?   Well, my life
is more magical than I ever
could have imagined!  Isn't that lovely?
